In 2017 my challenge was to do sports every day for a year. It was an adventure with ups and downs with many insights and learnings about body and mind. In the previous articles I wrote about food and how does it feel to stay out of you comfort zone for long time.
On running: my goal during the summer was to improve the running posture. Sometimes I was experiencing knee pain, when running long or short distances. It became a bit frustrating and this motivated me to pay great attention to details, study posture, movement and improve the biomechanics of running.
I did not agree with doctors who were keep telling me to wear shoes with thicker sole and use anti-inflammatory creams and pills. I am a big fan of barefoot running and wearing minimalist sport shoes. Therefore I decided to start the kinetotherapy instead and get back on training progressively.
I use a Garmin Vivoactive HR to track my activities and at the end of summer I started to feel that my work pays off – no pain, better stride and pace. My sports philosophy is to use a holistic approach and not only train the body but the mind as well and combine multiple disciplines.

Rock climbing is what I experienced for the first time in 2017. I am a bit scared of heights and a friend challenged me to go on the rope and climb a 12m metres rock wall, 4+ difficulty. Challenge accepted!
I used to climb on boulders when I lived in Berlin. I had a colleague super passionate about climbing and he asked some of us to join him. I went a few times but since I came back to Romania I didn’t really spent my time on boulders.
